Infusion Pump Project

_edited.jpg)
Mission
To build a functioning circuit that simulates the operation of an infusion pump with different conditions. For example, if the start switch was pressed, the LCD has to display a specific sentence. However, there was a twist, we were given an unknown 'Component X', and had to figure out its function and implement it into our circuit.
Learning Reflection
This was one of the most complex projects I had done so far. I have learned many things such as advanced circuit connection between different components and the Arduino Uno, and the operation of a motor in the infusion pump. This project has also given me a deeper understanding of coding and enabled me to produce my own codes. Learning how to conduct effective research was also one of the biggest takeaways I had from this project.

Personal Growth
From an Engineer's perspective, I gained a better understanding of how different components and medical equipment function. This project has also provided me with a better insight into what a Biomedical Engineer does and reminded me of the importance of our work.

As a student, I learned the significance of teamwork, perseverance, and resilience; to not give up even when obstacles are met. Another lesson learned from this project is to have good communication with people I'm working with, and it is something that I will continue to apply in my future projects.
